I never weighed it but I remember my 440 Lakewood bellhousing was pretty heavy

Scattershield with protective plate weighs 47lbs.

Thank you for info. Building a lightweight car and looking at every part as I go along. I found a steel scattershield that suposed to weigh 22 pounds. its SFI approved so I might give it a try.
