what would be a good cam to put in this 5.9 motor and what about a intake and could I used a 727 transmissiom

More info. Are you going to keep it injected or run it N/A? Yes it will bolt up to a SB 727. No reason it won't work. But you'll have to spend $$$$ just as if it was any other 360. One god thing is the magnum heads flow better than the old 360 heads. But I'm guessing that's not much of an issue.

just want to put a carb on it to drive all around just look fast and this is my other car

intake, I'd use the eddie RPM air gap for magnums

springs, replace valve springs with hughes #1110 and their retainers

cam, you could contact bullet cams and get yours reground. their HR259/316 lobe for intake and exhaust pulls real hard in a mag headed 318.

another reasonable cost option would be the hughes HER1828AL at $200, it's on a reground core, and you send your old core cam in.

either in an otherwise stock 360 magnum should make a solid 330-350hp with the eddie intake and headers.
