Help, need an ignition switch. Cant find one. - 03/22/11 02:05 AM

I am working on a 1993 Dodge W250, with a tilt column.

I need to replace this part: 432623199

I have tried NAPA, Rock Auto, and other local parts stores. No one has this thing.

Rock Auto has something close, but its listed for a non-tilt column.

Any leads, or help would be really great.

Just to be clear, I DO NOT need the lock cylinder, that is readily available.

I need the actual ignition switch which mounts behind the column covers, and the lock cylinder fits into.

How about the local Dodge dealer? Sometimes you just got to bite the expensive bullet.

Which part do you need? Switch or the key lock cyl? The number looks wrong. I am pretty sure on that style column the tilt and non tilt take the same parts.

I need the switch, not the cylinder. (I cover that in the second post)

I need the part the harness plugs into.

the part on the switch is in two tiers.

First is:
4326

then:
23199

And just to the left of those is:
622 (the 6 being in small text, and the 22 in large text)

I am pretty sure the standard us240 or the airtex 1s6275 will work. When they went to that style column tilt or non tilt truck or car most parts interchange.

Rock Auto did have a listing for a tilt column switch, but it was the kind that mounts at the bottom of the column.

Unfortunately that is the wrong one, it looks like this:

Im not sure where that mounts, but its nowhere on my column.

Most aftermarket listings are screwed up. I would call a dealer and get the oem number and see what it crosses to.

That looks exactly like the one for my wife's 95 LeBaron (found at Kragen/O'Rielly's) and the 96 Dakota we parted out.......

I just replaced mine last fall, (93 W250 w/tilt), got it at the local parts store. I think it was Standard part line, will have to look for the receipt for the p/n though, the parts store is closed when I'm off work. The local used to be dodge dealer gave me the p/n for the local guys' stock since it's n/a from dodge.
