Instrument Lights/Clock not Working 68 Charger

A guy doing some work on my 68 charger and I started putting the car back together a few months ago. When we put the instrument panel back in, the panel lights and clock was working. I picked the car up from his shop last weekend and noticed the clock was not working after I got home. Tonight was the first night I turned on the lights and noticed none of the instrument lights weren't working. I checked the instrument fuse and it was good. Any idea as to what could make all the instrument lights and clock not work? Hopefully the guy doing the work did not fry something without telling me. I will talk to him tomorrow.

Are any of the panels screws missing?

I don't think any of the panel screws are missing. Is there a particular one I should be looking for?

Stick a test light on the fuse and turn the dash dimmer up and down. The power comes from the headlight switch and through the fuse to the dash lights so the test light should brighten and dim with the dimmer movement.

How interesting, my Valiant has a similar issue that I haven't had a chance to check into yet. So a faulty light switch could keep the dash lights and clock from coming on? Would it affect the gas gauge too?

No it won't affect the clock or the gas gauge. That test was for the dash lights only. The clock is a seperate cuircuit and there is probaly two different problems.A quick google search on this board will show a bunch of posts on how to test the gas gauge circuit.
