Head bolts have blind holes if I remember correctly, so no teflon on the threads, correct?

Do you prefer dry or with oil to torque them down?

I dip the threads in 30 wt eng oil then blow em off w shop air EDIT I would chase the threads w "thread chasing" taps which are different from a regular tap/die set. they dont dig into the threads as much & a set of em (taps) is cheap

What brand of bolts are you using? If they're ARP, they give torq specs with 30wt oil and a different spec with their special arp moly lube. I always used just used straight 30wt non detergent oil.
