I'm using Dynatech Mighty Mounts. Got them at Spring Fling several years ago. The thing I like about them unlike the Schumacker's mounts, is that they allow the motor to move around like stock rubber mounts, but have a positive lock when fully extended. They are pricey to but look and function like stockers, except for their unbreakable design function.
There are made of tough rubber like the stock mounts, but with two studs that have an angled head on the end which lock into the top plate. There are no movement-limiting, interlocking plates encased on inside the mount like Schumackers's uses.
On the Schumacker mounts once those two interlocking metal tabs are encased in their poly material, it really limits the amount of movement the mount can make.
I'm running a shaker hood and wanted more of the stock type of free play for the motor to shake.
If you need to limit the movement of your motor for hood clearance or other issues and don't want to run a solid mount, Schumacker mounts would be a good way to go.
If you don't want to spend the money to avoid having to use chain or torque straps. You can relatively easily install a chain on the back side of the driver's side motor mount to limit upward movement, while using stock mounts. It's a cheap, effective, reliable and relatively hard to see modification when done correctly.
Notice the stud is too long on this mount, and it's actually touching the block. It stopped the motor from settling down into the K-member slightly. For whatever reason, I didn't pay much attention to it at the time I installed it. I got them warrantied later on and the mounts they sent me to replace them had a shorter stud. I could have just trimmed them down a bit, but if anyone wants them, let me know???
Also, they are side specific, driver's on driver's etc.
