Any problems with the source tc cover?

Ive got one and dont want to use it, if there is a history of them leaking....If they do leak, where?

I was going to use one on my build, it is a REAL NICE piece, and made in the USA!

BUT!

I had to go back to the stock cover because the snout of my TCI balencer would not fit around the seal retainer of the cover.

So Depending on what balencer you use, it may not work.

Also you will have grind down your cam bolts a little or they will rub on the cover.

???? How big are those bolts you're using ... the inside depth of the fab'd cover is the same dimension as the stock cover!

I think they use a "minimal" jig when they build these - locating off the pins holes but not bothering with the bolt holes Subsequently the cover distorts when they weld it. The pin holes line up fine but the bolt holes are off and the outer rail doesn't follow the contour of the block like a stock cover does. Its a $100. cover.

Won't fit with their aluminum WP housing. Sticks ouy too far. Also the slinger won't work with their cover. You have to machine to make fit.

BTW, Im talking about the stock replacement cover, not an aluminum cover.

I got a chromed one from 440 source, no issues. It looks just like the Chrome Mopar Performance cover I originally had on the engine, but I replaced because there was some cam thrust button wear on it.
