1970 B - Body Disc brakes

1970 B - Body Disc brakes - 02/19/11 11:51 PM

I bought a set of spindles and brakes to put on my wagon.

I believe they are 1970 because the rotors have a separate hub for the lug nuts attached to the rotor.

Can I use a later model rotor on these spindles ?

Any help would be great

I think Scarebird and others makes a spacer now for the inner bearing to allow running the later rotor on the earlier spindle. Do the calipers ride on a caliper bracket or do they bolt right to the spindle? If they bolt on then its a 69 and back spindle, on a bracket is 70 and up.

DoctorDiff makes the bearing spacers to use the later large bearing rotor on the earlier small bearing spindle.

this is all you need , sold by dr. diff to put the 73 up rotors on the 70-72 spindles , uses the same caliper set you already have and the rotors are cheaper and plentiful .
