My 70 Cuda has a T5 tan interior and the carpet is tan as well.
It is a very original car but the carpet was replaced at some point

It's the main color of the interior or the 'second' color if a two tone interior. Same color for instrument panel, steering wheel, and headliner.
But not always, there are some issues with burnt orange and 4-speeds where they got black carpet (at least for a while).

depends on who you ask.
Also, depends if it's 4 speed versus auto.
my old 70 Bee was 4 spd , blue int and blue carpet.
my old 1969 GTX 4spd was also blue int + blue carpet
all the books say all 4 spd cars were black carpet regardless of interior color

Rattler- Which plant? Mine is G (St. Loius).
Ozz- Try Dave Walden at ECS...it seems he added some insight on carper color last time this came up.

My GTX was built in St. Louis, my car has the white-burnt orange interior. The seats and door panels are white and everything else is burnt orange.
