I am learning more about this a body stuff. But, could you get a 68 dart gts with a coloum shift auto . I thought all gts darts were console shift. Any help appreciated.

Yes I'm pretty sure you could but it's very rare to see one .

I have a 69 dart GTS with a column shift so I know they exist but I don't know the production breakdown.

Yes -as I bought a new 68 GTS when I got out of the service and it was auto on the column with a 340
Yep, it was available. Not sure if standard on a GTS
BUT, in a GTS convertible the benchseat/column shift was standard.
Mopar would give you buckets and column shift too.
They ventured where others would discourage, just to make a sale.
If it was a bolt-together deal on the line, a shrewd saleman could get it done.

My 68 GTS convertible has the optional bucket seats, but has a column shifted 727. I believe 383 cars had to have a console with an automatic (four speed could have either console or just the shifter coming out of the floor).
