Mancini has them. Both the MOPAR one and if you want to spend more on a classy looking universal one from Flamming River, they have that as well.

With the Mopar one you still need the manual steering pot couple. The Firm Feel one uses the power coupler.

My advice is not to bother.

Keep the upper column intact and use the lower column fom the donor car.

If it makes you feel better replace the plastic shear pins in the middle where the two overlap.

Good question. I'm sure that there are a bunch, maybe even mine and yours that the pins were broke during restores, etc. The column isn't going anywhere (up and down), and unless it can be "pulled" out of the coupler some how. The pins do nothing for the turning ability of the column, they just shear off if it is compressed during an accident and the column telescopes down.

Will this work on a 1970 a-body as well?

Just go to the junkyard and get a coupler off of a 70s/80s B-van. Same thing

R.Ehrenberg (sp?) at Mopar Action covers some technical issues with the coupler in the April 2009 issue. Nothing drastic, but it might offer some good info if you have it.

Don't forget to get the pitman arm. The manual one has a diff size and spline.

If I were doing it again I'd weld a universal joint on the end of the column and be done
