What kind and year cars did this a/c bracket come on?

My friend is needing this bracket for a 440.. The one in the picture is for a 383 so it is cut into and will be modified to make it work on a 440. He wants one for a spare and really cannot remember what they came on.. I know pre 70 but what?

I had one from a 67 440 but do not know what other years used the same.

1967 and 1968,

I know it's NOT 1969 or later, but I'm not sure of 1966 and/or earlier models

I've got a similar cast bracket on our '65 w/361.

I checked the photos and there might be a small difference in shape where it meets the compressor, but where it meets the engine block it's the same.

I also saw one exactly like mine on an Imperial, so I bet they were used on big blocks across the wide range.

In some installations that bracket carries an 1858XXX part number so it dates back to around '58.

Had one on a 67 and 68 383 and 440 engines.
I dont know which way you would lengthen the arm,(long side or short side) but I do know that changing the thermostat is a real challenge with the proper bracket.
