tailshaft

I acquired a tailshaft and housing from a 727tf that had been dropped. I removed the shaft from the housing and checked the run out which was 1/1000th. I don't know what the factory spec. is, does anybody have an educated opinion as to what it should be. The tail housing was unbolted from the main case when it was dropped and that is the reason for my concern. Maybe John Cope or Mr. Kunkel will know?? Thank you.

With 0.001" runout I'd use it.

Thank you for your input Mr. Kunkel, I was hoping that would be the case. The guy that had the trans. became frustrated when he could not disassemble and pitched the whole thing in the scrap pile. I needed the tail shaft for a rv trans. swap and I got a 4 pinion planetary-good pump-drum-servos etc. in addition, which all look great. Lucky, lucky, lucky.
