Trying to pick up a 2006 srt charger in the next couple days and was wondering if anyone here has been tinkering around with them. Simple mods to start with and maybe some machine work later down the road. Any suggestions, tips?
Also, anything to really look at when buying a used srt?

Any possibility we could persuade you to go w something older (with a carburetor ) like an E body from the "for sale section". That way we could help you w the mechanical aspects.

Owned Plymouths from the 50's and Dodges from the 70's. Just looking for something newer. Thanks though

Let the man make up his own mind. He wants a Charger, so lets help him out.
I'll admit that when the 2006 Came out I was disappointed in the 4 door style. I own a 70 Charger and saw a 4 door as a sacrilege. Over time the design grew on me, and with the LX Challenger joining the group, I have gained an appreciation for the LX Charger. Good luck and welcome back.

Go to the Charger forums and you can find out any thing you want to find out about your car. I think it is called Charger Forums Z. Ronnie

Go to
www.LXForums.com
anything and everything you may or may not want to know or see about the Charger, Magnum, 300, and now Challenger.
There you can easily navigate to specialty forums concerning whichever vehicle you want to find out about.
Good luck and enjoy the ride!
PS...Thank you for your service!

I would start by !st doing cat back exhaust, then cold air intake. Simple stuff but gets good results. Here is a tip, are you worried about voiding factory warranty? Exhaust, and cold air intake will not. Maybe headers down the road would get good results also. It depends on how much money would you want to spend. You can go with a supercharger, or get crazy with a crate engine. Any serious mods plan on upgrading the touque converter and rear diff 1/2 shafts. those are a weak link. The only reaseon I mentioned the warranty issue is some dealers will be real picky on those items so just be warned. But 1st and formost, enjoy it nd have fun!

Picked one up today. Really clean car for an '06 and doesn't show any signs of abuse. time to start doing my homework on them.

4 doors or no, this car is fun. I'm thinking a few simple mods to start with will hold me over until I can save up some cash.
