Feb. magazine article on '69 swinger survivor reports owner rebuilt the original 480 cfm carb?
was a '69 swinger 340 carb just 480 cfm?

It'd be an AVS. A guy (on here) posted CFM's for AFB's which may have the same flow #'s as the same sized AVS's & 1&1/8 pri/1&1/4 sec is 400 CFM. 1&3/16 pri/1&1/4 sec is 500 CFM. Haven't visually compared the clusters/venturi's/throttle shafts/blades etc (That which would affect flow) etc between an OE AFB/AVS but I'd say good chance they are the same. Dont have an AVS to side by side check the air valve assy

They were supposed to be 625's, but Carter never went by CFMs on the OEM stuff.

Where Holley used 1.5 pressure drop for rating 4bbls. and 3.0 for 2bbls, (I think Carter followed suit) Chrysler used 2.0 for everything which resulted in some pretty low ratings for 4bbls, IIRC this minutia. If I'm wrong somebody with a better memory will be along soon.
