426 street wedge color. - 12/26/10 12:16 AM

I'm trying to do my wagon in an early 60's theme.

Kinda a what if someone raced one with a junior stock type class.

So what color was the 426 street wedge? Was it turquoise, or orange? And would it have 4 or six bolt valve covers?

Thanks all.

6 bolt covers (chromed) and Turquoise. See pic, most details shown in this pic are correct for an original 64.

Here's another shot, it's the original 1964 Pilot Fury convertible, 426-s 4 Speed, Sandlewood Biege Metallic with same color interior. I should have never sold it!

Beautiful car. Always loved the '64's.
When i was about 10 or so (i'm 33 now)and would go to shows with my father (who is a chevy guy) a friend of his had a '64. I remember looking at the engine with the funny looking intake, only later to realize it was a max wedge car.
