440 source lists there 500 inch 440 dished ross pistons @ 24.ccs dont think its same for 3.75 crank 440 dished ross pistons cause je/srp/kb are 13-18cc dish for 3.75 and 24-30cc for 4.15 crank

I went to rosspistons.com and they don't list a dished one for 3.75 either. But they did have part #s and a chart. You might try contacting them directly, if you can't cc yours.

dont want grease bore now to hold cc fluid,(rings wont set) and wont be accuate tdc in block its .015 down from deck.would have to do 1 inch down fill. i could dry cc it with clay mold, but would be easier if some one here used these before or sold them.....any better ideas

Re: 440 ross piston help - 11/22/10 07:17 PM

Pull the pan, pull one rod and get the job number off of the piston.

I know you dont want to pull the pan, but Im thinkin it would be the easiest way.

If nobody has an old catalog lying around, you may have to.

I see that Hensley has the pistons you have shown on their website.

http://www.hensleyperformance.com/order_now.php?part=25-32

CC is not listed though.

Give em a call.

It looks to me like you could get a piece of plexiglass cut out round to the same diameter as the piston. Drill a hole in it, put some grease on the top of the piston only so it won't bother your ring seal and cc them.

I am watching this as I will most likely run the same piston in my 493. Ron

What effect is that much dish going to have on your CR? I thought you were going to shoot for 11.0:1.

I am shooting for around 11.0. When I changed to the Indy EZ heads the comp went up as they have 75cc heads vs the Eddy 84cc so I could not get it lower then 11.8 with quench. I can get it at 10.8 real easy with these pistons so I decided to go with them and 10.8 since it will be a pump gas eng. Ron
