My dually got splattered one day by the sprinkler when it got crazy on me

How do I get the water spots off the glass ?

some 0000 steel wool, and some windex should take the minerals off safely.

I sometimes use windex and a razor blase.

Acetone or lacquer thinner but be careful.

I have heard WD-40 is good for hard water spots on a shower door. Also have heard Coke is good to clean windows with.

A weak acid, Coke or Vinegar will do the trick. WD-40 and steel wool are a bad idea.

I don't know why, I have used it for years. A real fine steel wool used gently won't scratch the glass. When I lived in Florida the only way I could get the love bugs off was Brillo pads and a bucket of water.

I use the super fine steel wool with no issues. Work great on chrome bumpers too!

I worked as a commercial glazier for several years,and we made our own insulated units.We used 0000 steel wool and windex all the time with no problems.Vinigar and water mixed does pretty well also.Laquer thinner can remove the ink stampings such as PPG safety glass,etc.

Bronze wool is great on glass, also good for taking stains off chrome.

White vinegar and distilled water mixed 50/50 always worked great for me.

hmm...I never seemed to have a problem with windex and a paper towel!! just have to do it 2 or 3 times, and really polish on the glass once the majority of hte liquid has been soaked up by the towel.

I had a 95 S-10 blazer that my wife brought here from California and it had bad water stains on all the windows. I tried everything including Windex of course, it wouldn't touch it. I tried CLR and a few other products and never could get them to lighten. We sold the little thing in about a hour one day after I put it in the front yard. California car with no rust sells quick around here even though the windows were mess.

I never tried steel wool, now I know thanks.

I've used Bon Ami and a scotch brite pad, just do not rub hard.
