Indybrocks T/A heads - 11/05/10 11:58 PM
Building a stroker 408 and have the choice of an M1 single plane intake that's on my self or an LD340 that is on my Swinger.
My concern is that the M1 single plane would not be a good choice for a stroker in a Challenger with a 5spd cruising at 2500 rpm on the highway.
Any one feel like informing or schooling me on the ya and na of the M1 for a street some weekend soloII time trails vs the LD340. I really like dual planes with Thermoquads for the street
The next question is do I just stick with the stock Edelbrock heads from my Swinger (That I would have to put the new 2.02 J heads back on) or dish out and buy a set of Aerohead T/A edelbrocks?
Are they worth it?
My cam is a Comp Mutha Thumpr
rear gears are 3:91s
27" tire
My racing friend says save the labour on pulling the Swinger engine apart, sell the rebuilt J heads and go get a new set of Aerohead T/A heads, bolt on the M1 for the Challenger, creating a real torque monster small block.
What do you all think?
