Looking for a Holley 750 for my 440 need help - 11/01/10 01:18 PM

I would like to use a Holley 750 for my mild 440 build. I prefer a single inlet and need the Mopar Kickdown linkage. I can't find one though. Anybody have an idea where I can find one? Thanks.

no such thing as a single line 750 Holley. Summit sells the kick-down attachment you need. However I have drilled out the holley linkage to except the standard Mopar throttle hardware. Takes about 30 seconds.

I agree.

If you HAVE to have single feed, you'll have to take the bowls and transfer tube from a 600 and swap it over.

If you HAVE to have single feed, you'll have to take the bowls and transfer tube from a 600 and swap it over.

Drilling the out the linkage, is it the welded stopper at the end? Cuz I have other Holleys with Mopar linkage I could use.

Ok, thanks. With the dual inlet, the feeder tube runs back to about an inch of space between it and the distributor..

you can always make your own fuel line or turn the holley one around. I usually turn it backwards...seems to be wasier to work with.

turn it backwards and run the fuel line/plumbing off the firewall with the regulator on the inner fender

with the mech pump or elect it can be done this way

keeps the feul line away from the dist and from over the top of the exhast/VC area

I have a brand new Holley 750 dual feed, manual choke, vacum secondary 4410/3310C that I would like to sell. It has never been used...Let me know if interested...Price would be less than advertised

Heres the bracket you need, no sence in drilling holes. I see jegs has one now for 1.00 less then holleys.

I don't know what the big deal is. You just have to open this hole up enough so that the factory throttle shaft fits thru. I have even seen guys use a small bolt instead. That bracket you add to the side is bulky moves the linkage slightly over.

It has to do with the ratio of travel for the kickdown to work like it was designed.

Exactly! & it lets the factory throttle cable bolt right up. I've seen people do the way Yuck is talking about, sorry but it looks tacky & it throws the geometry off for the kickdown, they built those brackets for a reason, if you look at any "factory" mopar Carter/TQ/QJ/holley you will see how the linkage is out more to the side & back slightly. Plus theres no sence in drilling on a brand-new carb. Also, if you buy the carb new & jack with it that way, it voids "ALL" warr. if you need to send it back for any reason with-in the warr. Don't be cheap, spend the 8.00 & do it right!!!!!!!

And you probably are running a cable kickdown linkage cause the stock parts don't work right.... The hole in the holley isn't the proper distance from the throttle shaft therefore if you set the kickdown at WOT it won't be right under light throttle... Like others have pointed out it has to do with the ratio....

There are SS lines for about 45.00 that are bent perfectly and have all the fittings you need to run the dual line and go all the way down to the pump. You can bend your own, but the cost of buying the fittings locally might be cost prohibitive, making the 45.00 deal appealing.

I got gouged so bad at the local shops that I should have just ordered one ahead of time. Instead, I had to go to 3 stores just to get parts and spent 21.00 on them, plus the line, plus my time. The only flare tool I think is worth buying is the Bluepoint, it is pretty costly, but you need one anyway if you are going to be working on old cars.
