Heres a better idea. Look in your local wrecking yards for 72-80 Dodge trucks with 4 speeds. The steering column parts are very similar. I have converted several column shift steering columns this way. They will not have the key lock lever like all the 71 and later cars did, but that wasn't an issue for me.

this is a quick and cheap way of doing it.
Even if I scored a manual column I would sell it and do it this way.
the finished product will look way nicer.

+1 here, not hard on the Mopars to cut off the mentioned pieces, fill, sand and repaint it to make it look like a floor shift column. A little time consuming, but quicker than looking for and changing out everything to a 4-speed column, and you can't tell the difference when it's done..
