Bad economy taking car $$$ what times

What improvement in 1/4 times ...Work is so slow so heres what I gotta do..I got my 493 stroker kit from Mancini to replace my 440 in my 56 Belveder..its a stock bore 440,with mild 906 heads, hyd roller cam 530lift in and 530 lift ex,kb 237 pistons,Eddy RPM intake and 750 proform carb..runs a consistant 12.5 @ 107..Just got my block back from the machine shop and all the toy $$ is done..so all I can do is throw all that stuff from the 440 onto the 493 and see what it does..What do you think ??

Did you do all your internal clearance work yet?

The 440 sounds healthy. Run it, enjoy it and take your time collecting parts for your stroker so you can make it a great engine also.

thanks AHY ..all the work is done on the 493 block,there is no 440 anymore..gonna start finishing up the motor tomorrow..just waiting for the 8 bolt flex plate and it will be installed this week..Just wondering if ,any times will be better with all the same external parts..I know I need carboration ,and have a few to borrow ,but I want to take a pass with the 750 from the 440..any guesses ??

The increased displacement with no other changes will boost power a bit and mostly increase torque. Depending on where you started with gearing, convertor ect, it should make the car faster. The carb will likley need jetted up a bit.

It should feel noticably stronger in the mid range.
