Hi, Can someone tell me what plug i need? i have champion rj12yc in it and want a colder plug but not sure which plug would be best?

with champion the higher the number the hotter it is so the next step down would be rj10yc or rj8yc, but those seem to be obsolete.

NGK is the opposite with the higher number being colder. In my book, it shows 67-68 440 using xr4 and 69-74 using xr5 which would be one step colder.

I hope this helps.

What year is the motor? anything fancy like a blower or turbo or 6pak?

RJ11YC or if that's not available cross to the same heat range of another brand. Been a few good reviews for NGK & autolite

Recommend Autolites 85...

I have always used Autolite #85 in all my big blocks. Didn't seem to matter what cam, intake, or exhaust I was running. They all ran perfect.
