The one at the far right maybe;

Had no idea you could get a "Tuff" wheel on a B-body. Thought it was primarily A/E body equipment.

Learn something new every day.

Thanks for posting Barry

Well.....

No tuff wheel on E-bodies actually.

Barry, what is the story on Tuff wheels on E-bodies? I've seen them over the years, and have people swear to me that you could get an E-body with one, yet I've never seen any literature that shows it as being available.

People like them so they get swapped.

None of the factory ordering information shows the Tuff wheel being available on any E-Body regardless of model year.

I believe this is correct for '72

it appears to me - that:

The 3-spoke w/padded horn button is STANDARD with the base RR bench seat interior - S85.

The 3-spoke w/padded center & 3 horn buttons is INCLUDED with A87 & "up-grade" bench seat or (additional OPTION) bucket seats - S86

What is on line 3 of the b'cast sheets for your RR & GTX? & what interior codes?

'72 RR interior - D6F6 Hamtramck-Historical

1970 was the last year for the S81 - sport (woodgrain) 3-spoke steering wheel on a b-body.

S15 - was usually the upgraded suspension INCLUDED with axle packages on 340 or 383 cars. Not sure if it was used or orderable in '72. Do you have a b'cast sheet with "S15" on it.

My 72 GTX has S13 for suspension...S25 for shocks...S41 for rear sway bar for the Dana..S77 power steering...and as stated S86 for the steering wheel..

Other 1972 wheel info;

It would be nice if they called out the code for each wheel.

Re: Broadcast Sheet Code...Help - 10/10/10 05:24 AM

I don't have a '72 Parts Catalog, but here is a comparison from the '70-'71 version. (the difference for '71 b-bodies looks to be a darker blue)

'72 b'cast -
STEERING WHEEL 25 B5
&
HORN PAD 37 B4

VS.

'71 Parts Catalog -
***** STEERING WHEEL
19-30-4 WHEEL, Strg., W/Padded Horn Buttons - w/3 Spoke Horn Buttons - Blue 71 (A, B, & C-bodies) - 4025 GB7
&
19-30-43 COVER, Strg. Wheel Center, w/3 Spoke Horn Buttons, - Blue 71 (A, B*, & C-bodies * non-Charger) - 4037 GB7

FYI: (1971)
the "cheap seats" 3-spoke steering wheel for use w/center padded horn button is 4054 GB7
the woodgrain "PLYMOUTH" center for W/Padded Horn Buttons wheel is 3575 016
