Valve Body wont go back in!

Valve Body wont go back in! - 09/26/10 06:58 PM

Trying to get my 904 valve body back in, yet the long shift/park tube that goes towards the back of the trans wont slide back to that c-shaped area. It just wont click in...
Is there a trick to getting it back in? I have done it several times but for the life of me cannot remember how I did it last time!
Any help would be great.

Turn the driveshaft while pushing the rod into the pocket.. Sometimes it snaps into with no issues, other times you need to turn the driveshaft..
