E-body Headlamp Dimmer Switch - Bypass - 08/25/08 11:39 AM

Someone here posted a way to bypass the dimmer switch control so that the dash lights will stay on. Does anyone still have that diagram available?

I just made a jumper wire, and didn't plug it in to the back of the switch.

I soldered a wire across the terminals on the switch.

I just put a rebuilt switch in.

Works like a charm.

If you dont want to rebuild the switch or replace it, just go to Radio Shack and get TV tuner cleaner. It sprays on and cleans the oxidation off of the nichrome wires. Exercise the control a bit and it may just fix it.

Are you a member at Cuda-challenger.com?

A member there rebuilds them. Puts new Stainless coil in.

He had a sweet deal for members but may sell them to you as well.
