1965 Coronet wiper switch ????? - 09/17/10 07:09 AM

On my Coronet when the wiper switch is hooked up to the harness it will make a klicking noise constantly, sorta like a overloaded breaker, only when i have the switch in the off position with the ignition key on, it stops when i turn the key off.

When i turn it to the on position during its little spat it dont work then after a second it pops on and works fine, as long as i leave the wipers on its fine.

what you guys think the problem is?

i traced the wires and I have one cluster of 4 in a factory plastic conector that connects to the switch, then I have a red and a yellow that come from the motor, and a white wire witch i cant trace. the red has a little notch so it goes on the right terminal on the switch, as for the white Im not even shure if it is for the wipers.

Anny of you guys have a scematic of the 1965 Coronet?

Sounds like the wipers are not parking. Mine did the same thing. What is the part # on the switch?
