I know stupid question, but Im taking my car to a show this weekend with a open header contest, for loudest car... I won it a few years back with my Big Block Mopar Jeep, last year tied for loudest and best sounding, so question is, does anyone know how I can make it louder? they measure decibals, Im open to any ideas...

...Not sure, but just an Idea. Megaphone the collector like the High-n-Mighty?
...EDIT... Cheerleaders use them,...Old Victoria Record players used them too for Amplification.

each pipe open without the 4 into 1 collector

megaphone the ends

or use smoe pipe to get it out from under the car

Its not a stock 318 guys... 500" Wedge, runs 9's so its loud, just need it louder!!! LOL

Put cards in the spokes?

hang a Mr. Microphone under it and crank up the stereo?

Tip a bit of nitro in. Pops more and the smell is fab!

You could try tightening the exhaust rockers a bit, to open them a bit earlier.

That's the best idea yet, works for sure. Maybe 10% nitro and it will be louder, more powerful and the best part, will stink up the place.

I'm serious, 8-10% won't hurt a thing short term and will make it a animal for a few days. I've done it many times at the drag strip.

From VP fuels, in 1 gal or 5 gal cans. I would get it del from UPS from VP in Terra hutt Ind. Take a day or 2 to get here with a hazmat charge tacked onto shipping charge.

This was in 94-95 when we ran the Spitzer race cars sponsored super quick series. I quailified #1 with it many times!!Like every race one year. 4.50 et 1/8

I got a couple pictures of us mixing it up at the track first time we used it. lol maybe when I get home I'll find those pictures. It's loud and coool!!

I would get 5 gals at a time, man that stuff is heavy, like 12 lbs a gal I think.

Makes you want to drive like that when you hear it cackling in your pipes!!

I have some old pictures I have to take digtal pictures of, so I can post them. You can just tell from the way people are holding there noses and ears that the car is burning nitro, way cool...

We raced at some really small tracks back then where people were right next to the race track watching the super quick cars. I would do my burnout and almost everyone all along the edge of the track was backing up away from the track coughing from the nitro fumes when we would back up! They were all back away from the edge of the track when I staged that dragster burning nitro. lol We were a big favorite because of the nitro.
