Strange steering problem, HELP? - 09/13/10 08:21 PM

Hi,

I had my '72 charger aligned last week using the specs found in the tech archives, Camber: -.50 to 0 degrees
Caster: As much positive as you can get up to 3 degrees.
Toe-in: 1/16th-1/8th inch. The tech couldn't quite get 3 degrees positive caster, but it was in the mid to high 2's. When the alignment was done, I took it for a test drive. The shop is in a town so I never really stepped on it, but it went strait and didn't pull but I did notice it wanted to turn in VERY quickly in my opinion. I thought that was just the way it should be. When I got it back to my shop I took it for a little test drive, this time I jumped on it a little and when the front end started to rise the car started wandering back and forth in the lane pretty violently. I got off of it, and straitened it out and took it back to the shop. Any ideas what could be causing this? All of the parts are new, with Moog offset upper control arm bushings. It is a power steering car. Thanks in advance for any insight.

vcummins,

Thank you for responding. No I don't think he raised the front of the car and rechecked the toe. I will have them check that when I take it back. Does anyone else have an opinion or is this the only thing that would cause this problem.
