Flasher location

We are putting the final touches on my sons 73 challenger and the flashers don't work because he switched to all led bulbs. He purchase a no-load flasher and now he can't find the existing flasher location. Where is it located in the car? I can't find it either and wasn't about to stand on my head this morning to look.

You may have to stand on your head to finds it under the dash.Do the signal lights work and just the flasher that don't or is it both the signals and flashers?
If one works but not the other you likely have a bad flasher but if neither work you could have 2 bad flashers or other problems. It won't be bulbs if one works and not the other. Signals and 4 way use separate flashers.

Everything worked fine until he installed the LED bulbs. He got a no-load solid state flasher to replace the stock bi-metal unit. I'm gonna make him stand on his head this time.....What a great learning experience, plus his arms are longer! I'll do my best to provide the needed words of encouragement. This has been a great experience for us.

Should be pug in in the fuse block. Should be able to open the door, look in with a flashlight and locate it easily. Should be easily accessible. See that the Tigers are in the top 25! Good for the Big 12!

Some models did and some didn't.
There is also like said above 2 flashers - one for turn signals and 1 for 4 way.

The 4 way flasher on my 74 Road Runner was clipped to the frame of the brake/clutch pedal support up under the dash. Not easy to get to when you do know where it is located! It is a square flasher can and has a green slip on clip that hooks over the edge of the brake/clutch pedal support up high under the dash behind the instrument cluster. The turn signal flasher was located just under the lip of the dash between the ash tray and the glove box.

Flasher has a holding clip on the right side of the ashtray-"chamber". Similar to the one for the hazard-flasher at the pedal-bracket.

If he's got LEDs in everything, it still might not work. I have LEDs in everything - rear, front, side-markers, and dash - AND an electronic ("no-load") flasher. Couldn't make it work without having at least one incandescent bulb on the outside on each side of the car. Didn't like the way the incandescent looked, so kept the LEDs. Finally had to add a 5W (IIRC) load resistor to each side on the front turn signal wire for it all to work.
