Hey ... ...

LOTS of numbers have been thrown around here and there ..... I have seen #'s as low as 325 and as high as 445. SAME engine specs(compression, cam, heads, exhaust - ETC ...go figure ... ... ...

It IS a very weak engine .... BUT also very durable ! GET some decent-compression in it(from 6.7 to 9 to 1), some tweeked cyl heads(swirl-ported and massaged combustion chambers), along with a 2010 cam UPgrade(Crane or Comp) and better fuel delivery(a TQ with either a Streetmaster or SP2P intake) ..... and you have a helleva' motor for what is WAS designed for .... an RV/truck "grunt" engine.

And JUST THIS PROJECT is on one of my engine stands.

The cam is a "problem" area. I am still collating.

Some of the 2010 "tech" (like the current Chebby stuff) is some radical stuff.

VERY short duration ... but HUUUGE lift. So what is needed is a roller ? ... and then how about valve springs ??

I don't know ...
