Can someone tell me the good and bad of this manifold - 08/24/08 01:44 AM

Its an SR2R 318 Edelbrock intake. Never heard of this style. Whats good and bad about it?

SP2P? Something like "Small Port Dual Plane", IIRC. They're a gas-crunch-era manifold set up to generate better mileage, so if that's your goal, it might be OK. I'm not sure if a Performer wouldn't work just as well, and not be as restricted over 4K or so.

SP2P = Single Plane-Dual Plane. Yes , its a mid 70's gas crunch era design.

Good - you can usually buy them for $25.00. They could get pretty good mileage if things were right.
Bad - they are more restrictive than about any other intake made, were designed to maximize mileage with the STOCK CAM. Even a Performer will make more horsepower and should get equal mileage.
