904 Transmission, Won't hold back in second gear???

904 Transmission, Won't hold back in second gear??? - 09/08/10 04:14 AM

I have a Dodge dart with a rebuilt 904 Transmission, It won't hold back in second gear, but pulls up hill in second ok, I,m thinking kickdown band needs to be reajusted!

So if that is whats wrong, wear can I find the tool I need to fit on the band adjuster??

5/16" open end wrench or a 5/16" 8 point 1/4" drive socket fits the square end of adjuster bolt

3/4 boxed end for the lock nut

72 inch pounds or hand snug the adjuster and back off 2 turns

hold adjust from turning while tightning the 3/4 lock nut
