MSD IGN. AND CHALLENGER RALLYE DASH TACH

Swaped out the stock ignition for msd. Following the msd instructions, now my tach from my rallye dash doesnt work. Anyone had this problem ? Any help would be appreciated

Is it a 6a?

I just installed one this weekend and used the tach output terminal on the back of the box and my tach worked fine. Potentially different technology than your stock dash tach though, but I was able to use my aftermarket (autometer) tach and also my Craftsman Tach/Dwell/Volt meter also to see RPMs.

Yes is a 6 a box. the wire that goes to the tack neg is there. Im wondering about the plug in from stock distributor to the plug in on the wire harness, which is unpluged now has something to do with it not working

msd do a signal converter,runs inline.
i had to fit one to a 69 charger with tic toc tach

You need the signal adaptor. MSD sells several. Summit lists the different types and applications. My 70 Rally tach needed one of the basic lower priced adaptors. Wired per instructions and the tach works.
