thermo fan switch - 08/26/10 09:55 PM

Im wiring up a electric fan for my rad with a 30amp relay....is there a good cheap o.e.m. thermo fan switch that would fit my cooling system ??? I would hate to order one from summit and then find out that I could have got one at autozone.
Any Idea's ???

you can in fact pick up one from autozone for about 20 bucks. Just ask for the adjustible thermo switch. fits in the fins of your rad.

I personally don't like fin mount temp switches, I find them unreliable. If it were me, I would use a temp switch from a newer vehicle, maybe somethin like a 4 cycl Neon with electric fans. Simple identify the fan switch and snatch it and the plug. Any vehicle with electric fans will have two temp units. One is the sending unit for the gauge and computer, and the other will have two wires and be for switching the fans on and off. That will be the one you want.
