NPT threads & I'd suggest the white teflon paste rather than white teflon tape and plumbers use a thicker version of the paste than the auto version that I prefer but either paste types will seal it well

nothing here... There's no way this thing can come out with the oil pan on. Especially if you run a windage tray.

thats a good point. i just don't want to suck any air. prolly wont happen but a little thread sealer won't hurt any
