hurst shifter questions

does anyone know the application
of this shifter and rods?
it has the numbers 3830 09 on the reverse rod..

also i need a 71 bench shifter set up
i have the bench rods,could i use them with this shifter?

Frank , that's a mopar shifter , you can use it where you want to as long as your handle is a bolt on ...

Look for a number stamped in the Reverse (longest) lever in the shifter.

There's another bench seat 71 B-Body thread going right now.
Maybe it might help both parties to look at both threads.

i saw that thread and didn't want to hijack it
i wanted to know what the app on the shifter i had was
since i didn't know and also could it be used in a 71 bbody bench set up?
i have the dogbone and a set of rods
i don't know if i need the specific shifter or
if i could use this one?

The shifter body that you have here should work, but those are the wrong rods (look like 68-70 B-Body maybe).

You'd need the dogbone and the correct rods, if you have them you should be good to go.

i just found this thread the only differance i see in your shifter compared to mine is you have a stop botl on the front and i done and my bolts that hold the shifter on go in from the other side
the #,s om my reverse rod/finger are 7180 and driver sideback of shifter body is #1220231m
is a hurst shifter

after further review
the answer is absolutly no..
the shifter is different
i bought the correct one brandy new from brewers today
