2007 Caliber will not start - 07/03/10 04:04 PM

I had an issue with my 2007 Dodge Caliber 1.8 yesterday morning while I was pulling out of the driveway and the car stalled and would not start for like 2 or 3 minutes. Got it running and all was fine and then last night I pushed it too hard on the fuel and when I tried to leave the grocery store last night it would not start. It was out of gas I assumed.

I put some gas in the car and it will not start now. Sounds like it does not even want to start. It only has 75k on the mileage and really have had no issues with the car.

The engine light has gone on and off at total random over the last month, which I have chosen to ignore, since there is no pattern to the engine light. I put a tester on it prior to this and it did not show anything wrong.

I am going to have AAA tow it home this afternoon. Any advice?

Check to see what codes are stored, and check fuel pressure for starters.

I just figured out that my innova 3100 will work with the intrepid but not the caliber. So I need to check into a new tester. I removed the line going to the fuel rail and no fuel came out. Not sure if that is the way to test the fuel pressure or not.

Will try to figure out how to get the codes out tonight.
