440 Engine Identification Help

Hi People.

I am rebuilding a 440 with casting date of 1 28 68. The numbers stamped on pan rail are PT440S24610641. I have misplaced my books and am trying to determine what type of car this is from. Any help appreciated.

That number is not going to tell you what type of car is MIGHT have come from.

Without a VIN you'll never be 100% , what is stamped on the ID pad up top and is there a partial VIN on the bellhousing flange ?
