Once rims are drilled for slicks, does that mean than can only be used for strip duty?

i'd like to know too.. I have a nice set of steelies from a D150 that I used as drag wheels for my car. drilled, tubed, etc...

I measured the width 15 x 8. they are nice and wide and look similar to the late 60's steelies, but better size.

probably wouldn't be too hard to weld up the holes, but what, if anything, would that do to the wheel balance?

Why would you need to weld them up?

Screws in or out, tube or tubeless, they shouldn't leak. I'd just run some fancy screws in the holes and letem rip. Good conversation piece too
