Plastic grille repair? - 08/11/08 02:11 AM
I've got a sharktooth grille for my duster and there are two cracks in it. What have you guys used before to repair a plastic grille? And any tips on doing the repairs? Thanks.

Try Testors liquid cement in the bottle (not the tube).

Couple of methods.
JB weld will work but I'd stay away from the JB qwik. That stuff started to disintegrate an air grabber set up I had to repair.
If you have a spare grille as a donor, scrape some shaving off of it into some acetone. It eill break doen into a gooey substance, bevel both side of the crack and fill.

I used plastic epoxy and a product called
Plasti-Fix, which is really cool stuff if you need to repair missing areas.
Also found here, though with a slightly different name:

I did some grille repair work on my 71 Challenger grille (was in 5 pieces). PC-7 worked great for me. Here is a post on how I did it.
