4 bbl kickdown linkage and pivot on 904 - 05/15/10 04:46 AM

I was mocking up the 4 bbl kickdown linkage from a 70's Aspen on my '73 903 transmission(originally 2 bbl) and I notice the pivot bolt.rod that screws into the case seemed to short to slide through the pivot bracket for the 4 bbl linkage. Are the 4bbl pieces longer for that or do I just happen to have a fitting that's to short?
See pic if you are unsure what fitting I'm talking about

You mean the triangle looking part that the rod goes thru is too wide to fit right? The only difference for 4 barrel is the rod at the top. Maybe the size of the rod or the linkage part changed at some point.

The pivot stud is the same for 727 and 904 in a given year but did change with the years; '70 and earlier is different from '71-on.
