Wilwood brake interferance with Magnum500 wheels - 05/11/10 11:24 PM

I am in the process of changing wheels to Magnun500 for a more stock look from aluminum wheels.
the only interferance problem is the screw on WILLWOOD grease cap must be removed in order to install the wheel center caps. any suggestions.

the willwood Front disc conversion uses the stock Drum Spindles and the cap is aluminum and screws onto the hub.. Here we go again.....

No surprise there. Wilwood stuff is made for racing so the Wilwood engineers designed their hubs to work with racing rims like Centerlines. You're trying to get a dog and a cat to mate when you stick OEM steel rims on racing brakes.

No Problem. Take the cap to a machine shop have it cut back to fit. Done it numerous times. So have friends of mine.

*** one time i had the outside grooved and left the center cap off. The word "wilwood" showed in the center. look good

I figured it out. just remove willwood cap and install origional thin wall steel grease cap.
use a little sillicone sealent to hold it in place BINGO!!!!
