1968 Plymouth GTX / wiper motor difference?

I noticed that the wiper motor in my 68 GTX (build date C09 - Dec 09, 1967) is the same type as the one I had in my 67. Yet ones I see on the web seem to have a different type. Did they use 67 versions on the early models? The pics below will show mine (burgandy car) and the other type (blue car).

Any thoughts? Thanks...

One is a 3 speed and the other is a 2 speed.

Blue car is 2 speed and the other is 3 or variable speed
