Like to hear about any 318 engine build up by any members

mines an 88 360 headed 318 from a cop car( never been apart yet)

swaped in a lunati voodoo roller cam 60710 with comp 901-16 springs all stock roller cam valve gear

600 cfm carb LD4B intake
headers/duels 2.5

a999 stock high stall LU tranz

A-body 8 3/4 742-3.23 sg

29x15x15 M/Ts on 12" rims

18 mpgs and merges in traffic with attude in my 85 stepside truck

mine is an '86 shortblock, reringed, magnum heads, roller cam reground by Bullet cams with a 259adv, 208@.050, .316" lobe lift (.506~ valve with magnum rockers) cam, magnum heads mildly home ported by me, edelbrock air gap intake, headers, 600CFM carb. no timeslips yet, but I'd estimate it pushes my 3900lb 5th ave to low 14's. gets about 17.5mpg mixed driving.

84 318 nonroller van motor, 302 heads home ported w/comp 901 springs, factory 340 cam, perf. intake, 450cfm mech. 2nd. spread bore holley, .030 over stock repacement pistons, moly rings, crank cut .010/.010, windage tray, magnum ex. manifolds. going in front of 833od in a 47 desoto, . its still on the stand, so i don`t know how it runs.

I had a 318 with KB 167 pistons and SCAT rods and with the weight they removed to balance it the thing reved up real nice and quick even though it had a stock 273 2bbl solid cam. 904 LU trans I had an LD4b intake TTI headers 302 heads and it had 165 lbs cranking preasure and would get darned near 30 MPG on the highway I got right at 29 several times. It pulled real hard right up to 5000 rpm in third even with the 2.76 gears in my cuda. Lots of TQ down low.

69 block bored 30thou, 340 main caps,drivers side oil galley tube.Nitrous forged flat-tops, zero decked block,plasma moly rings.Forged stock stroke crank,h beam rods.Oil mods,custom oil pan, and custom solid grind cam.J-heads milled to 53 cc,pro-flow valves ,port side walled brazed heads,alumium W2 roller rockers,smith bros push-rods,mca ported heads,ported port-o-sonic intake,830 double pumper carb.230 horsepower nitrous system over 3 stages.
Goes well,plenty of r.p.m -something differant and completely street legal.

I'm dying just waiting to find the right car to install a stroked 318...this engine,stock wise...is as dependable as a 283 or 289 engine any day and had alot more tork off the line...I would love to run it at the drags and have "318" in big letters on the side of the car
