My 96 Ram has a leak near the condenser up front where the lines connect. There's a clip that holds the two pieces together, but even without that I can't pull the two pieces apart. Is there a trick to seperating them or a special tool? And then what--is there an o-ring in there?

yes there is a tool you clip over the lines and then push into the connector to release the internal clip.there should be 2 o-rings.I just took a 96 apart last nite when we pulled the motor

Be sure the system is empty before removing that line.

Lubricate the new O-rings before reassembly - and evacuate the system before and after you work on it. The tool can be found at any autoparts store. There are a couple of types - also used for removing fuel lines. Here is a pic
