Window Regulator for 2001 Durango - 04/10/10 02:34 AM

Has anyone used an aftermarket part to replace their window regulator? I need one for a 2001 Durango drivers side front door. I found some online and the best price is $52.73 with free shipping. From Amazon.com no less! Made by Dorman.
It's for my wife's cousin and she can't afford an OEM part so aftermarket is where I'm looking. Any thoughts on the matter?

We use a fair amount of dorman parts and they seem to be good. We rarely have regulators come back at the shop so i wouldnt be too worried with putting one in.

We used Dorman at work a lot.I bought one reg for my 99 Durango cheaper from the dealer with shop discount than the aftermarket was.The other one I bought from Ebay used and it looked new for 12 bucks.Still working great after 3 years.Rocky

let me guess..the window works as if it has a mid of its own.. I have a 99 that does the same...

I used a Dorman part from RockAuto to replace the regulator on my '02 Durango. In my case, my son slammed the driver's door and the window fell down into the door- broken cable on the regulator. Install was relatively easy (never done it before), and it works great. I say go with it, good luck.
