Can I use pushrods with oiling holes ? - 03/25/10 03:57 PM
Guys,
Its been awhile since ive been here and couldnt really find anything in thr archives etc. I am needing to get a set of 9.25" pushrods for a Comp cam in my 440 in order to get the preload setup correctly. I wiped out a lobe on a MP 509 previously using the stock rockers and stock pushrods of 9.31" and such. Motor has about 20K miles on it and runs great, but i dont want to burn up another cam with it being bottomed out in the lifter. Summit sells universal one piece pushrods 5/16 in the 9.25 length but they have the oiling holes and my stock ones do not.
Will this cause issues ? Couldnt the stock steel rockers use a bit more oil in the case ?
I dont know, so im asking you guys :;)
Thank you in advance
