Hemi tunner, motor bogs - 03/24/10 03:14 PM

I'm looking for some one in the south jersey area 08080 to get my motor to run right. it's 426 crate motor with dual 4's. Car has never run right, bogs when punching it. Any one know of a good shop in my neck of the woods ?

I can guess you have the vacuum advance on the wrong port and when you hit it advance falls off. Unhook and plug vacuum advance for now set timing to 35 total and see how that works.
Leaving vacuum advance off till all tuning and road trials are done (maybe forever!)

FOR your hemi.32 degress total is plenty for your combo.
your problem is probably in your metering rods if your running 2 carter carbs.
how far are you from 08050 barnegat or manahawkin?

A few more specs on your motor would be nice. What carbs, what intake. What is you timing set at. What Ignition are you running. I would like to know what cam and what it is set at. Things like that. But if you would like someone to look at the car instead of trying to figure it out yourself, talk to SUPERSTOCKRACER.

I'd check your float levels and if you have a squirt immediately/& duration when you touch the throttle for starters. Vac leak/lean rod & jet combo
