Anyone know the year and/or model of this old wagon? I saw it sitting on the street today and it really got my attention.

It looks alot like this 55 Plymouth from the rear.
Sorry for the size of the pics, they're not mine and on the web.

But the front end is different. The front end in your pics looks more like a Desoto, but not a 55 Desoto.

I'm betting its a canadian model since it has a 55 dodge front and a 55 plymouth body - they did that alot back then when they went north!

It's a Canadian 55 Dodge - basically a US 55 Plymouth with a US 55 Dodge front clip.

Here's a 55 Dodge Mayfair:

The wagon above is a lower priced series than the Mayfair.

But it said "Plymouth" front and rear.
Given the age, either or both pictured cars could be customized but the one I posted looked original. It had a 'three on the tree' and looked like someones driver. It was parked 2 short blocks from a very busy flea market.

Well, I can't claim to be an authority on Canadian Mopars, but I'm pretty close to being 100% sure that no Canadian Plymouth-badged automobile ever had a Dodge front clip from the factory.

However, Canadian Dodge-branded autos that were actually Plymouths with Dodge front clips are pretty common; there's even a name for them: Plodges (look it up). The pix I linked to are of such a car; it is not a custom.

If the wagon you posted had Plymouth nameplates, then either someone put Plymouth nameplates on a Canadian Dodge, or someone just bolted a Dodge front clip to a Plymouth. (Or, I don't know what I'm talking about but I think I do.)

BTW, in other countries, Mopar put De Soto grilles in Plymouths and branded them De Sotos. But they were really just Plymouths with De Soto grilles. See here, for one example:
